Hyperspace Hole Bug

I was told this bug happens whenever you black out then continue in the Dream World. Having lost to the leader once, I came back and defeated him, and in going to use Hyperspace Hole to leave, found that it wouldn't work. As the Dream World is unconnected to the normal world, not only does this prevent my progression in the storyline, but it also prevents me from even returning to attempt new areas, making it severely gamebreaking.

NOTE - Bug is for 1.2/1.2.1, though there was no option for either
