Post-game frozen glitch *spoilers*

I just entered the post-game lake and witnessed a brief fight between Regice and something else. The game immediately froze, allowing only for the use of the keys to toggle autosave on or off, speed up the game, or auto save. On version latest version, 1.2.2

I got exactly the same problem. Restarting or reinstalling the game doesn't help. The game freezes from the moment you open your save file. :/
