Follower button and reset button not working

Hello there. I just noticed that my Pokemon was no longer following me from behind. I tried to use both the Remove Follower button and Map Reset button but none of them would work. As a result, I do not have any followers which further leads to the fact I cannot use any Quartz Flute Mew skills. Can somebody help me?
