Encountering Giovanni in Challenge Championship Creates Automatic Loss

Anytime you're set to go up against Giovanni in the Challenge Championship, it will suddenly end and cut to black, acting as if you just lost the match and asking you to try again. This has happened three times now, so it's definitely not some sort of one-off thing.

I experienced this as well, and i was in 1.2.3

Trying again in 1.2.3 yields the same results. This also happens with Blue, and the game will outright crash when it tries to load the roster sometimes, so there's probably at least one more character who is bugged.
