Delta Clamperl Evolution Glitch

Okay so it wasn't as severe an issue as it initially seemed, however, it would seem Delta Clamperl will be evolved with the usual Clamperl items with the Witchdoctor and yield an ordinary Huntail or Gorebyss. This is what I can only assume is a glitch? and could lead to a situation in which one experiments evolving their Delta Clamperl and accidentally loses it forever if they have auto-save on.
