Professor Maple Battle Crash

After beating Professor Maple in the Gaea Core, while you're talking to Professor Pine, the game freezes up here and after a while does the Hanging Script warning. Screen Shot 2017-09-11 at 2.01.29 PM.png When the Hanging Script warning saves the game and I restart the game, I'm stuck and can't move or open the menu and I have to load one of the backup saves.

EDIT: I'm also on the Mac version. I don't know if that changes anything, but I forgot to mention that.
