Shadow Force Bug

Hi, new here and recently started playing Insurgence So I just arrived at the Elite Four, challenging Kayla and it's Giratina against Espeon I have my Giratina use Shadow Force, Espeon is faster and it uses Baton Pass Sylveon is sent out, but when Giratina's Shadow Force hits, it says Sylveon isn't effected. Then, Giratina uses Shadow Force again, without me choosing This repeats until Shadow Force is out of PP, all of them not effecting Sylveon. Idiot me didn't take any screenshots of what actually happened, but if it helps, here's my Giratina's moveset
