Dead storm drain activation

During a battle, I fainted a pokemon with storm drain. Then, I attacked the other with a water move, and the other pokemon's sprite reappeared and storm drain activated. I attached a picture of what it looked like afterwards. Idk why this happened, but it isn't to bad, just an inconvenience
