Potential Cloning Issue

During a trade between two of my friends, one of them had a connection issue. The trade on one end with normally, but seemed to be disrupted on the other end. When the trade was over, the Pokemon sent by the person who had a connection issue was successfully traded, but the person with the connection issue still had the Pokemon as if they had never traded it.
