Volt switch also passed stat boosts

I was doing a randomized nuzlocke and in orions gym I used nasty plot 3 times to sweep with my delta shiftry but it almost got killed so on the second mon i used volt switch and switched to my sliggoo but my plus 6 special attack also passed on to my sliggoo making the battle extremely easy after the battle I went to a different random trainer to see if it would happen again and it did so i think this is a bit too op.
