Start Game, Mew Arrives, Can't Leave Bed

Mew comes in, scares Gengar off then walks to the position in the picture. Can't control character. Saving and other functions like autorun and autosave toggles seem to work.

Reloading doesn't fix. Map refresh doesn't fix. Happened even after wiping data and clean reinstalling. Windows 10.

I was able to get around that issue by starter the game on the lighter setting and then switching to darker after leaving the bed.
