RGSS player not working?

I have a pc and after unzipping the files I decided to try and open the game up. Everytime I do I am told that the RGSS player has stopped working and that windows will close the program with the window then closing.

    RGSS errors usually indicate a problem with the engine (RPG Maker) rather than the game itself. Uninstall your RPG Maker XP, restart the PC and install it again. That should fix the issue.
