Witchdoctor trade evolution crashes game

I'm getting an error when I try to evolve Swirlix in the Black Market. The evolution animation happens just fine, but the game breaks just as the colored sprite of Slurpuff appears and right before I hear its cry. I've attached a copy of the error message. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

I don't think there is a fix at the moment, but i know you can catch swirlix at the hidden grotto on route 8. My suggestion is to wait and catch one from there.
