Cant start a new game.

So, I started a new game after downloading the core game, and after I get through choosing my challenge run, naming myself, and choosing my style, it sends me to the professors home. Only I can walk through the walls and in the blackness, I can click on a box that has the starters in it, but I can only choose Delta Bulbasuar, and once I do the pokeball selection image is stuck on my screen while I move around. I also cant leave the house.
