Having trouble diving on MaelStorm 9

Hello to anyone who to anyone who is reading! I am having trouble diving on MaelStorm9 after you beat the 6th gym when you first want to dive in the Lake to defeat Audrey. Therefore I can't continue the game. It says that I cannot dive in the area when you actually can dive in the area. If someone could help me out that would be great. Enjoying the game a lot! If thesuzerain is reading this it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me. Thanks.
