Be able to save numeric values to InfluxDB

There is an app InfluxDb for Homey, I run this because in the past Homey Insights failed me and Grafana dashboards cannot be created from Homey insight.

I have BLL and Influx both running, but I see that InfluxDb does not export the variables of Better Logic, presumable because these are nog values from devices. Probably not only BLL, but maybe also InfluxDb need additional code.

Okay, i have created multiple ways to export the Variables, as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Now other apps need a way to consume this.

The question is to work together with the app developer of InfluxDB to export BLL variables directly into InfuxDB. Not to dump the variables on an FTP server. Which then requires additional programming and scheduling on an external system. This is a kind of workaround which could work, but alos a bit drop it over the wall.

It is not the solution requested here. I greatly appreciated if it is possible to export BLL numeric variables direclty into InfluxDB. And also willing to donate for motivation to realize this.

I understand that. I hope the Developer of the InfluxDB will create a flowcard to read JSON or CSV files to be exported/written into the InfluxDB.
The starting point is: At least there are now multiple ways to export the variables, as would be needed for the InfluxDB app to retrieve it.

The FTP client example was just to develop the needed bits/parts required for exchanging the variables.

Just another question tho @Marco Pietersma , do you want to update influxDB each time a variable is changed?
Or just daily?

I’ll followup with the influxDB developer to see if he has adde it internally yet, since i gave him the code for it.
