Feature requests

Issue #12 resolved
Peter Dee created an issue

Some ideas / feature requests:

Is it possible to:

  • (ADDED): script to replace timeline cards with “Add message to Timeline and Log ….. “ while keeping the existing text and adding the flowname to [app|group] textfield.

  • add a flowcard like "Remove all entries above X lines"?

  • extend the flowcard “Get the whole log data as [format]” with “and then delete the whole log [no|yes]”
  • add a setting "Only keep the last X lines"?
  • add a setting "Automatically delete all lines older than X days"
  • display the total number of lines on the settings screen?

Thanks in advance

Peter

(ADDED): script to replace timeline cards with “Add message to Timeline and Log ….. “ while keeping the existing text and adding the flowname to [app|group] textfield.

No those script take a lot of time and testing, and with the upcoming scripts you can just automate all flowcards and remove old cards.

add a flowcard like "Remove all entries above X lines"?

I don't now (yet) the amount of lines, it works on dates only.

extend the flowcard “Get the whole log data as [format]” with “and then delete the whole log [no|yes]”

Well, this could go wrong: What if saving the xml/json goes wrong? Your log would still be deleted. Beter to remove the logs after the rest of the flow is completed.

add a setting "Only keep the last X lines"?

I don't know the number of logs yet. And i "cannot" delete based on numbers of lines, the logs are keept in files per day. I delete based on days and remove the complete day-log.

add a setting "Automatically delete all lines older than X days"

Yes, included in the latest version (noet yet released in test, comming today).

display the total number of lines on the settings screen?

Working on a solution for this.
