Alternative wall building mode

Most 3d structures are built in 2 steps, first flat then the height is added, including the diagonal wall. For some reason normal wall placement is done as a single action. Can we get an option to change that so first we can draw a line then add height to it?

I do not see a use case for that. You can place any straight wall in 1 step, no need for 2.
