1.16.5 deleting/undoing blocks wont get removed

hello guys, i just downloaded this mod and tried it out singleplayer it worked perfectley and its amazing, now i wanted to add this into my small pixelmon server thats using spongeforge but it doesnt seem to work with sponge.

building and creating works flawlessly but undoing and removing doesnt seem to work.

i know its sponge forge bc i deleted all spongeforge mods/plugins didnt seem to work then so i deleted spongeforge and that helped still i need spongeforge in my server any tips you can give me?

playing on 1.16.5
