Can't place blocks

I cannot place anything while using any mode other than normal, it worked just fine and suddenly in the middle of the game it stopped working on said save and hasn't been fixed ever since. Breaking blocks works just fine, but placing blocks doesn't work no matter if they're vanilla or modded.
