I'm using Pycharm (As per this suggestion) with Illuminated Cloud and have not had any issues until today. I restarted my computer and suddenly I am not able to open Pycharm without it freezing up. When I deleted the Illuminated Cloud plugin (.PyCharm2018.3\config\plugins) then it started working again.

Updating sfdx resolved this issue. I'm not sure what the cause was.
