ApexDoc @see does not support "." autocompletion and document navigation

Issue #1481 resolved
Phil W created an issue

If I add an @see in ApexDoc this autocompletes to the Apex class/SObject type/custom settings name level. Adding “.” and trying to autocomplete reveals “No suggestions” instead of listing the class’s members or the SObject/custom settings fields.

Manually adding the “.SomeValueHere” then using the IDEA documentation viewer shows an active link that, when clicked, doesn’t navigate to the target documentation.
