During IC configuration, when pointed to wrong SFDX file and restarting Intellij, the program throws error over and over requiring to close the program from task manager.

Kamil, are you able to get back into a good working state? If not let me know and I can tell you which file to edit to remove the path to the Salesforce CLI so you can start the IDE. Also, can you provide your idea.log for review?
