Can no longer do anything with DX connections - getting "No dev hub found"

Issue #1614 resolved
Icon Process created an issue

For some reason as of this morning, I am no longer able to work with DX connections. None are listed under Configure Application -> Connections, and if I click on the blue DX logo in the toolbar on the connections tab I get the "No dev hub found" dialog. However, when I execute sfdx force:org:list in the terminal, the dev hub is there, complete with the little (D) in the left margin showing that it is indeed the default dev hub.

I did create a scratch org using IC2 right before this problem came up, and that scratch org is on the force:org:list as well. It just isn’t visible to IC2.

I could attach a log, but I looked in there and there is nothing in there from today. The last entry is for yesterday evening.

Let me know if I need to provide any other information. Thanks.

Hi. Can you please make sure that you're on the very latest version of the Salesforce CLI? Please take a look at issue #1606 for more details, but last week's Salesforce CLI build had a pretty bad issue that was patched yesterday by Salesforce, though I've identified another one that, while less severe, is still present in the latest build. Please let me know if that doesn't get you going again.

Some people are too dumb to use sophisticated tools like IC2. Beginning to think I might be one of them...

I'm going to resolve this, but I still refer you to #1606 as it sounds like you're likely hitting the issue(s) documented there. It's probably worth following that issue toward its ultimate closure.

Not dumb at all! I'm 99% confident that you are encountering an issue and wouldn't have needed the explicit refresh if not for it.
