Unable to update to IC2 plugin to version 2.1.4.8

Issue #1757 resolved
Tom Fuda created an issue

I received a notification in my IDE that a new version of the Illuminated Cloud plugin is available. When I attempt to install it, I receive the following error:

Plugin "Illuminated Cloud 2" was not installed: Cannot download 'https://plugins.jetbrains.com/pluginManager/?build=RM-202.7660.39&id=com.illuminatedcloud2.intellij&uuid=d8be1934-91b3-472a-a631-b28f57c8a2fd': Tag mismatch!

I’m using RubyMine (latest version) on Windows 10. I currently have IC2 2.1.4.7 installed.

Tom, I'm unable to reproduce this. I have RubyMine 2020.2.3 installed and just updated it to IC 2.1.4.8. with no issues. I'm also on Windows 10. Can you try again and see if perhaps it was some transient issue? If that still fails, what happens if you download it from here:

    https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/10253-illuminated-cloud-2/versions/stable/102158

and try to install it using Settings>Plugins>Install plugin from disk (under the gear drop-down menu)? Same thing?

I just had mine auto-update to 2.1.4.9, also without issue. Let's do a couple of "grasping at straws" things. First, please completely uninstall the IC2 plugin from RubyMine, then try to install 2.1.4.9 from the plugin repo. If that fails similarly--and I'm loathe to suggest this--please completely uninstall/reinstall RubyMine. Your config will be retained across installs unless you check the "Remove config and caches" options when uninstalling, so it should be a quick and painless cycling of the install. If it still fails after that I'll need to consult with JetBrains.

Ok. Sorry, I guess I was too fast to see your “grasping at straws” comment. I was able to install 2.1.4.8 after downloading it using the link you provided and using the “Install from disk” option. And, then, after installing 2.1.4.8 from disk, I was actually able to install 2.1.4.9 using the “Update” option within RubyMine (without having to install from disk). Strange. If no one else is having this issue go ahead and resolve it, because I’m now back in business. Thanks.

Yeah, that's definitely strange. I'm going to resolve this but if I start to hear about it from others I'll check with JetBrains since nothing has changed in how I build the product in a long, long time. Glad you're back in business, and thanks for jumping through some hoops to get there.
