Cannot deploy certain metadata

I’m trying to deploy metadata (for example a custom field) to my org, but it’s giving me: Deployment complete: Deployed 0/0 components.
Everything is checked in Configure Module → Subscription.
Also tried ‘Add to Metadata Subscription’, but I just get a message that no changes are required to the subscription.
What am I missing?

Hi, if this is specifically with regard to custom fields, please see issue
#2141about that. The workaround is to deploy the parent custom object until a fix is provided. If this is about deployment of other metadata types, please enable debug logging for metadata deployment, reproduce the issue, and attach the resultingidea.logfor review.
