Release notes displayed in non-IC2 projects

Whenever the IC2 plugin is updated, the new version release notes are opened in an editor tab in the IDE.

The problem is, the release notes can pop into a non-IC2 project. Earlier today I did/saw the following:

Opened the IDE, which reopened my last configuration (one IC2 project, 3-4 non-IC2 projects)
Saw a little popup saying a new Intellij version was available
Clicked to install it, and was also presented with a list of package updates (including IC2) to be installed along with the new version.
Clicked to continue, and the patch files and package updates were downloaded
After applying the updates and restarting the IDE, the IC2 release notes were open in a tab of one of my non-IC2 projects

If there’s a way to control this, it would be great for IC2 release notes to only open in an IC2 project.
