meta.xml files for Apex classes shown on MDAPI project creation although global setting off

Hi Scott,

My user interface setting for showing meta.xml files is off:

However when I just created a new MDAPI project, meta.xml files were initially showing for all Apex classes. Show meta.xml Files was ticked in the IC context menu.

    Are the files that are showing under a configured source root? That option only applies to files under source roots.

    I apologize but I’m not sure if I follow. Is this resolved for you now? I don’t see the meta.xml files shown in the latest screenshot. And happy new year to you as well!

    Thank you Scott!

    I can’t reproduce the original scenario for 2 reasons: I lost access to the connection (end of mission) and I upgraded from IDEA 2022.2.x to 2022.3.1.

    I cannot reproduce the issue in the latest IDE, so I’ll flag it as resolved.
