Regarding the XML Configuration File Elements

There could be numerous helpful enhancements for interacting with this file, but one feature that would solve for 90% of those occasions would simply be a picklist option called “General Context” in the LWC creation modal.

This picklist could contain the following values (not exhaustive)

• UtilityBar
• App
• RecordPage
• Community

• Other

  • for all uncommon but unrepresented contexts

• etc

It wouldn’t have to provide a perfectly configured metadata file, because that’s not possible.
But it could cover the boilerplate elements for each of those contexts.
