Compliance Question - Log Retention

Hi Scott,

My company has asked me about how IC2 manages logs retrieved from an org. I’m assuming they’re retrieved on-demand and not persisted unless explicitly exported, but couldn’t find any documentation that validates this assumption. If logs are persisted by IC2, what is the lifespan of a log?

Hi. That's right. Logs are never persisted to the local machine. They are retrieved via the API and immediately transferred to the respective UI display components in-memory. If you switch to a different log, close the project, etc., the active one (if any) is discarded.
