Cannot type } when curlies unbalanced in visualforce page

On a Visuaforce page, typing {! will automatically insert a }, resulting in {!}. If you then delete the }, attempting to type } will only move the cursor to the right until you reach the end of the page.

Thanks for the report, Jeff, and I LOVE the anim showing the behavior! I'll take a look in one of the near-term builds and see if I can address the problem.
