NPE when trying to refresh org metadata due to unknown parent folder

A user reported this issue via email and I’m logging it here for tracking and as a vehicle to provide test builds as necessary to help confirm the fix.

This is a the current released build, 2.3.0.2, with a prospective fix -- and diagnostic logging -- for the issue observed in the log provided by the user. It can be installed by downloading (but not extracting) the attached archive and using Settings / Preferences | Plugins | Install plugin from disk (under the gear drop-down menu). Once installed, allow the IDE to restart and then retry the failing operation. Assuming/hoping that it no longer fails, please provide a new idea.log so that I can see the diagnostic information that should help explain why this unexpected null value was encountered.
