Could the new scratch org dialog not block the IDE?

I often have multiple projects open at once in different windows. And, when I’m creating a new scratch org, this can take a few minutes if SF feels like being slow (it’s been running the whole time I’ve taken writing this Issue, for example).

It’s not an issue to block up the project where I’m creating the scratch org. But would it be possible to allow the other IntelliJ projects that are open to still be usable while the scratch org is being created?

This would let me, for example, review a PR in a separate project while I’m waiting for the scratch org to be created.
