Failed to determine license state when opening settings or re-entering license key.
Hi Scott,
I'm running into the following error when I open my IntelliJ settings or try and re-enter my licence key. It pops up twice then leaves me alone and IC still seems to be working for me but says I am unlicensed.
Failed to determine license state: The version GUID "89bb40b5561289fabefa4.18089874" doesn't match that of the product details file. Make sure you set the GUID using TurboActivate.VersionGUID

Account Deactivated reporter -
repo owner Sorry for the problem, Elliot. It sounds like you're in an okay state now. Is that correct? Either way let me see what I can figure out about this error that you're seeing.

repo owner Ah, I just saw that it's saying you're unlicensed. I'll look into this ASAP.

repo owner Elliot, I just deactivated/reactivated my own license key and it went through fine. Can you try again and see if it works for you now? I'm wondering if the license key validator I'm using was doing something transient on their back end.

Account Deactivated reporter Scott, either that or updating to 1.7.0.3 did the trick. Either way thanks for the quick attention - everything looks good now.

repo owner Okay, glad it's resolved for you.

Account Deactivated reporter Scott just so you're aware this still occasionally happens to me. A restart of intelliJ seems to do the trick though. I'll let you know if I figure out a way to consistently reproduce it.
