Metadata is not refreshing for newly added objects via retrieve metadata

I've created new project and I choose to sync objects A and B. I created a C object in salesforce, I retrieved it via "Retrieve metadata" custom selection. I see the C object in IC, but when I choose to retrieve metadata for objects, it is not selected. I have to switch from context to custom and manually choose it. I was able to resolve this issue by opening Project Structure and clicking on a Refresh button next to the Subscription->selected. After refreshing subscription retrieve metadata select the C object.

Yes, this is something I'm working on right now. Technically you can get things working by clicking a few different refresh buttons, but it's cumbersome. I'm streamlining the workflow for this and will have the results out in the next week or so.

I'm hoping that the changes in 1.7.7.0 and 1.7.8.0 for automatic subscription management when files are added/removed and automatic refreshing of the deploy/retrieve/delete dialog contents will pretty much address this and streamline the workflow. There will always be some need for manual refresh because things change on the server outside the (efficient) visibility of the IDE, but hopefully I've minimized(/eliminated) the need for explicit refreshes due to changes that occurs within the IDE.
