.meta-xml files hidden everywhere not just the source directory

With the option to not show the meta.xml files for salesforce, which is a nice feature, it also hides them outside of the source tree. We have some meta.xml files that are in a directory outside the sources directory and during our ant build process we copy them in to the static resources directory. The ones outside the source directory are hidden and this cause confusion when doing a search and they were found but couldn't locate them in the project view.

Hah! That's pretty funny. I hadn't considered a situation where you had meta.xml files in the IC project but outside the source root that you'd want to be visible. This is a trivial thing to fix, so I'll include it in the next build.
