Whould be nice to have a Schema Explorer like the Eclipse one!

    I heartily agree! This Schema Explorer is by far the most useful functionality in the Force.com IDE. It is exceptionally helpful to have an easily browse-able tree of the Enterprise WSDL and the relationships between the various objects. Being able to just check the parent object fields and child object collections that you want to build a query for and have that query generated is INCREDIBLY helpful, especially for newer developers! Please add this feature to the roadmap! Here is a screenshot of the Schema Explorer in action:

    I find myself less interested in this kind of schema browser, but more what you get when you open the object view in dev console. (screen shot below) I find myself exploring for reference fields on standard objects ie: the ApexClassId in the screen shot is actually a reference to ApexClass, so I can grab ApexClass.Name in query.
