Licensing issue during product startup

An existing user saw the following issue this morning upon product startup:
"An unexpected error occurred during license validation: Failed to save the trial data."
The log shows:
2017-10-18 07:35:03,729 [ 66518] INFO - ellij.license.LicenseValidator - Server license validation result was NotGenuine.
2017-10-18 07:35:04,265 [ 67054] ERROR - ellij.license.LicenseValidator - An unexpected error occurred during license validation.
com.wyday.turboactivate.TurboActivateException: Failed to save the trial data.
The user has a genuine license and has configured the network properly for wyday.com.
I'm going to use this issue to track the resolution including a few test artifacts.

reporter The test build can be installed using Settings>Plugins>Install plugin from disk.

If that does fail, this may also help us force the key to re-register.

Seemed to be an issue with the host machine. Resolving here.

This is the exact same build as the official but with the licensing libraries updated to the latest. Hopefully that will fix it, but if things fail with that I can reach out to the licensing vendor for assistance.
