That's interesting that it's recommend IC1. IC1 and IC2 both use a dynamic file type detector for .email files so that they can use the correct editor based on the email template type. Let me see if I can reproduce this behavior. I'll provide more guidance shortly.

Easily reproduced. Looks like it's doing the right thing for HTML and VF templates but this comes up for text templates (at least for me). I'll take a look and get it resolved.

Hi Scott,

when I was working on templates, sometimes it was 'catching context' and started to support(code highlighting, predicting etc) but I didnt manage to find exact moment of that.

FWIW, I just opened plain text, HTML, and Visualforce email templates, all without issues, so I think this is long resolved.
