Unable to create a Visualforce Page

I am not able to create a VisualForce Page in Intellij with Illuminated Cloud Plugin. The Issue where creating a new page is that the prompt for creating a new page is frozen and nothing is created and a few minutes later it says "7:22 AM Unable to save settings: Failed to save settings. Please restart IntelliJ IDEA". I restarted many times and it didn't help me out of this issue.

OS : Mac High Sierra (10.13.3) Intellij : 2017.1.1 Ultimate version

Dong, the issue is the version of IntelliJ IDEA. The older version doesn't include some of the plugin SDK classes that are being used. You should be able to upgrade to a more recent version which includes these classes, minimally 2017.3. and ideally 2018.. Please let me know if updating the base IDE doesn't resolve these issues for you.

The issue has been solved by updating the version of Intellij to 2018.1. I would say 2017.3 will be also comparable. I happily mark this isssue resolved.
