Upgrading from Illuminated Cloud 1

To benefit from all of the improvements made to Illuminated Cloud between versions 1 and 2, we recommend you upgrade your IDE as soon as it's possible and practical for you.

NOTE: Illuminated Cloud 1 has reached it's end-of-life (version 1.8.5.6 was the last planned update). For more information, see the release notes.

Before upgrading to Illuminated Cloud 2, you need to disable or uninstall your existing installation:

  1. From within a supported JetBrains IDE, select File > Settings (Windows) or Preferences (Mac).

  2. Select Plugins in the left navigation, and click Installed to view your installed plugins.

  3. Click Illuminated Cloud to view it's details, then click Disable or select Uninstall from the drop-down menu.

  4. Click OK to save your changes.

Now you are ready to install the Illuminated Cloud 2 plugin from within the JetBrains base IDE.

All licensed Illuminated Cloud 1 users can obtain a discount for the first annual subscription period:

  • The discount for upgrading a Personal license is $25 US off the per-license cost for a single Personal license.
  • The discount for upgrading Commercial licenses is $25 US off the per-license cost for up to the same quantity of licenses previously purchased.
