Blend: Expected at least one object with no parent

Issue #51 new
Gonçalo Lopes created an issue

Got this exception when loading a .blender file for version v2.80. This is most likely a consequence of the Blender DNA format not being updated to the new version, as happened in the past: https://github.com/assimp/assimp/issues/1105

Looking at the release notes for Assimp 5.0 there is mention of an update to BlenderLoader which updates the DNA format, so this would likely solve the issue.

Any plans to update AssimpNet to v5.0? Happy to help if there is anything that can be done to make the transition faster.

I have confirmed that downgrading blender to 2.79b (the latest maintenance release) produces a file compatible with the current version of AssimpNet, so most likely only an upgrade to Assimp 5.0 will solve this issue.

I this issue fixed in latest version?

The latest nuget keep returning “Blend: Expected at least one object with no parent” the message while importing blend files from v2.80.

    It’s planned to fix it?
