Query related to 'Cycle Time Trend Gadget'

Issue #113 resolved
Deepali Deshpande created an issue

Hello,

We have below query related to 'Cycle Time Trend Gadget':

For Cycle starts and Cycle Finishes selections, which status options are displayed for “When the issue entered in this status:“ ?

Are these Workflow statuses configured in Jira? Currently for us multiple statuses gets displayed which are not configured for our workflows.

Thank you,

Deepali Deshpande.

    Hi @Deepali,

Yes, that dropdown displays all the Workflow statuses defined in Jira. The statuses from your workflows should be there, too.

But for these settings, you should better pick one of these options:

    • When the issue entered in a status that has category "New" - this means any status in “To Do“ category (grey-colored), like New, Open, Reopen, etc
    • When the issue entered in a status that has category "In Progress" - this means any status in “In Progress“ category (blue-colored), like In Progress, In Work, In Testing, etc)
    • When the issue entered in a status that has category "Done" - this means any status in “Done“ category (green-colored), like Done, Closed, Resolved, etc

The category of a status is given by its color. You can see it also in Jira settings.

Please let me know if you still have questions.

    Hi Danut,

Thank you for quick response. It seems even though multiple options are displayed in dropdown “When the issue entered in this status:“ , users can’t get Cycle Time based on those as all are not active configured Workflow statuses.

Our Jira Users have a requirement to report on much more granular statuses which they maintain with Labels and Components.

Is there a possibility to provide Cycle Time based on usage of Labels/Components?

    Thank you!

    Hello Deepali,

Sorry, the gadget does not support grouping data by Label/Components.

Marking this as resolved for now.

    Thank you,

    Danut M.
