add additional done criteria for CFD gadget

For the CFD gadget, please consider adding additional options for the “done” band on the CFD. This would be in addition to the criteria selected for the chart, such as Status Categories. For example, an additional JQL snippet to add to the query for the Done area.

Use case:

For Kanban teams showing their complete workflow (concept to cash) it is normal that some work is evaluated and then abandoned. This work impacts WIP for part of the workflow, however when it is decided that it will not be implemented it does not get counted as “done” for throughput.

• If a team uses a single filter to exclude abandoned work items, this gives an incomplete view of WIP history and a correct view of throughput
• If instead the team does not excluded abandoned work items, WIP is correct and throughput is incorrect.

With an option to selectively exclude “done” items from the result set, teams could have an accurate view of both measures.

Hi Bill,

The CFD gadget has been extended to allow you to exclude certain bands, customize colors. Additionally, you can configure it to show bands by status (not just status categories). I expect these improvements to fully resolve this case.
