Feature Request - Better Display of Data in Velocity Charts

Hello, I’m really finding the use of the gadgets with Great Gadgets very helpful and useful. One feature request though that can help improve the experience significantly is to have a better display of data for the team velocity charts. I came across a different gadget and found that they display the data better by using the table display under the reports feature in Jira, and it also allows the option of using the data for the active Sprint as well.

We found this very helpful as part of the data points we can use during retrospectives as well as capacity planning.

I’ve attached some screenshots for reference (summary and assignee fields blacked out for confidentiality). The latest Sprint/Iteration is the active one.

Thanks for posting.

We do also display the data along with the chart. All you have to do is to check “Show data table' in the gadget settings. Have you tried this?

Also, we will consider the idea of adding the current sprint in the chart.

Thanks for getting back to me, I am aware of that option and enabled that however the way it is displayed isn’t particularly well (just a table with numbers and links). If you look at the screenshots I shared the information is more consumable from a dashboard viewer level with descriptions and status and points similar to how Jira generates the velocity report.

Given that the gadget already provides a "Data" tab with detailed information about issues in the sprint, this request will not be implemented.
