    Hi Abhinav,

Please try disabling and then re-enabling the add-on in UPM (Jira Administration > Add-ons > Manage add-ons). If the error persists, please send atlassian-jira.log to support@stonikbyte.com

What version of Jira do you have?

    Danut.

    Hello Danut,

Thank you very much for your quick response. We have tried re-enabling/re-installing the add-on but nothing worked. I've attached the Jira logs above. The current Jira version we are using is 7.6.6.

    Thank you.

    Hi Abhinav,

The log attached does not cover the moment when the error occurred. There are no references to "stonikbyte". Can you uninstall and reinstall the add-on? And then collect the log?

    Thank you, Danut

From what we can see above, the gadget is having a hard time to connect to some URL's. Based on this, I'd like to recommend you to engage the Vendor responsible for the add-on. This because provides support for 3rd party add-ons is out of our scope and it's not included in our Support Offerings so the best way to get assistance for an issue related to a 3rd party add-on is by reaching out to the Vendor responsible for it.

    Hi Abhinav,

I still don't see any "Stonikbyte" references in the new log. Can you please double check?

    Danut

  7. Danut M [StonikByte] repo owner

A cause of the fact that the error is still present could be the fact that some data was cached by your browser.

To confirm this please try in an incognito / private browser window. To do this:

    • After installing the Jar, launch Chrome
    • Press CTRL + SHIFT + N or go to browser's menu (top-right corner) and click "New incognito window"
    • Logon to Jira and perform your test
    • If the error is no longer present, it means that browser's cache was the problem

If the error is still present, then please do the following:

    • Display Great Gadgets in a dashboard in Chrome browser
    • on a different tab, go to add-on management and disable and enable Great Gadgets
    • go to the tab with Great Gadgets and DO NOT refresh yet
    • open developer tools in Chrome [press F12 on the page with Jira dashboard containing Great Gadgets]
    • go to the Network tab
    • select Disable Cache option in the first toolbar
    • select only the XHR option in the second toolbar
    • refresh the Jira dashboard page
    • right+click on the item in the list of requests and select the last option "Save all as HAR with content"

    ChromeDevTools.png

    • save the file. This is a text file containing the requests as JSON.
    • send us the file along with the new JIRA log.

    Looking forward for your reply.

  8. Abhinav Arae reporter

Hi Danut, the JSON solution didn't work for us but Degrading the current version to 1.2.1 worked :) What do you further suggest regarding the V1.4.0 ?

  9. Danut M [StonikByte] repo owner

    Hi Abhinav,

You can use the old version as a temporary solution.

Unfortunately we were not able to reproduce the issue in our environment. It seems to be something specific to your environment. We need your help with the troubleshooting. Can you please send us that JSON file with the HAR content? We expect to figure it out based on the info that it contains.

    Thank you

    Hello Danut,

Thank you very much for providing this. I can try this jar file during off business hours and let you know as the users are using this Gadget during business hours.

    Thank you.
