Control chart gadget for other than status

Greetings! Please consider adding more generic control charting that supports fields other than status. This could support built-in and custom fields, and enable much better process analysis for teams.

The control chart is actually based on cycle time (time between statuses), not on status.

I do not understand how such chart could work based on a custom field.

Could you please provide a concrete example / use case for such chart?

A control chart is a type of chart, and is not only applicable to status. (I submitted a separate suggestion to rename this gadget to reflect this.)

So, any value over time can be plotted as a control chart. The current gadget supports Lead Time and Cycle Time. Other examples would be: issue sizing, cost of delay (CoD), or other issue parameters associated to frequency over time (cost, work item type, etc.).
