Gadgets cannot be shown on confluence macro, if shown getting 401 error

Issue #94 resolved
Avinash Reddy created an issue

Problem1: Gadgets URL from Jira were not able to parse in confluence gadgets feed section. But I was able to add in Gadgets specifications section.

Problem 2: “Something went wrong while processing your request. The action you were trying to execute could not be completed successfully. Received http error code 401. Access to /rest/agile/1.0/board is not authorized. The id of this error is: ***************” - this error is thrown when trying to add gadget in confluence macro.

Jira version - server, datacenter - both - 8.5.4

Confluence - server - 7.4.5

    Hi Avinash,

    Thanks for posting.

Not sure why exactly the general gadgets feed does not list the gadgets on Confluence. This looks like an Confluence / Jira issues and it should be addressed with Atlassian. But anyway, it’s OK to add the gadgets in Confluence by using their individual XML link.

Regarding the second issue, can you please check if the same gadget, with the same configuration works in Jira for the same user?

Also, please provide the Jira log file (atlassian-jira.log) to support@stonikbyte.com; it should contain more errors about the error.

    Thank you,

    Danut Manda

    Hi Danut,

I was able to add using XML specifications for each gadget. When I posted above issue few months ago I have seen the error message which mentioned in “problem 2” above.

Now, when I tried to add macro I see all the list of macros under macro selection but I see blank page when I added the macro to my page. None of the macros are working now. I even see blank on the preview page as well. Let me know if you need anything else to resolve this.

    Thanks

    Avinash

This seems outdated. If the issue persists on the latest version of Great Gadgets, please reopen this ticket.

    Thank you, Danut M.
