The corruption does not stop rising. Once it reaches 100% it resets and returns over and over .

Actually this is not a bug but rather an incomplete feature: The corruption bar shows how far you are on the way to your next corruption. The corruption system is not yet implemented but will be the main content of the first major update after EA. Starting at that point the corruption bar will have a lot more meaning. Thanks for your patience
