Some items won't equip from inventory

Playing the base dwarf fighter, i cannot equip shields or a metal cap I picked up. 1 of the 3 leather caps i picked up will also not equip. Items can be picked up and dropped. All weapons appear to equip with no issues

The items do not have a permissible size. Starting with 0.1.1 the tooltips for the item will provide detailed hints about this.

Hi there. Not a dev, but I’m assuming your problem is that the armor types you’re trying to equip are ‘small’ size, and you’re a dwarf, which can only wear ‘medium’ sized armors.
